I installed windows media centre TV pack and now my HVR-4000 is no longer recognised by GBPVR.

I have disabled media centre again, but cannot seem to get the card working in GBPVR. I get the attached and following errors.

The analog side of the card is working fine as I can use tuning assist to search for channels.

I have tried uninstalling the drivers using various methods i.e. hwclear.exe, removing the card completely from the computer, reinstalled gbpvr but always get the same error

Code:

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
    <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

It looks like you're trying to tune a digital channel that hasnt been mapped.

Hit the 'map digital channels to epg channels' button in your capture source(s) to make sure you only have channels enabled that have been mapped.

I don't have the same card as you but do have TVPack installed on 1 of my systems and GBPVR has not had any problems. I've not had to disable anything and both VMC and GBPVR seem to be working just fine together.

I get that error message when I hit map digital channels to epg channels. Funny thing is, if I add the DVBS or analogue source it can access it fine, yet it is a hybrid tuner. Very strange it cannot access the DVB-T portion all of a sudden.

Post your config.exe.log and config.exe-native.log and I'll take a look.

I had this happen just last night on a system NOT using the TVPack. It turned out that my newly installed card (that I had a heck of a time installing drivers in) just disappeared from Device Manager (well, it had the yellow mark next to it). I just hit the 'Reinstall Drive' and in seconds, I was back in business. So, check the Device Manager and see what you have (or don't have).
I will say that in reading on my HVr-2250, it seems there has been a few challenges with those of us using these hybrid cards with other cards in the system already.

All devices in device manager are fine and reported as working correctly.

I have tried removing all of the drivers and reinstalling the two different available driver versions a number of times and everytime they install without issue. I even removed the card started the computer without the card, shut down and reinstalled and loaded latest drivers and still same error.

Is there a way of finding out what is using the BDA device?
