Hi, I recently reinstalled Vista Home Premium x64 and am having issues getting my HVR-2250 working in GB-PVR 1.2.13 again. It was working fine (analog and digital) before the reinstall. This time I can only get analog working. The bda.ini file has the proper HVR-2250 information as well. After creating the digital capture device, I attempt to map the digital channels and I get the "GB-PVR was unable to start the BDA device you have configured" error. Then I click OK and I get an unhandled exception. The error states the input string was not in a correct format:

************** Exception Text **************
System.FormatException: Input string was not in a correct format.

at System.Windows.Forms.Timer.TimerNativeWindow.WndProc(Message& m)
at System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.Callback(IntPtr hWnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wparam, IntPtr lparam)

I did install an updated version of NativeUtilities.dll to fix the audio issue with the HD-PVR. I only mention this because I see NativeUtilities referenced above. I also have an HDHR installed, configured and working so I don't think it's my BDA setup in Vista.

Logs after the issue are also attached.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Can you try deleting any *.cache files in "c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr\bda", then try again?

Hi Sub,

There were several *.cache files in the BDA directory and I deleted them but still get the same error when I try to map the channels. The errors in the log look the same after I tried again.

Any other thoughts?

Thanks.

Delete those cache files again, then reproduce the problem, and zip and attach the config.exe.log/config.exe-native.log and Ill take another look.

Looks like I had two issues going on. Seems the HVR-2250 drivers didn't install properly for some reason, I wasn't even able to get digital channels to work in WinTV. I originally installed the HD-PVR drivers before the HVR-2250 drivers and only the HD-PVR was working. I ran hcwclear.exe and re-installed in the drivers again, but in the same order and ran into the same issue. I ran hcwclear.exe once again but installed the HVR-2250 drivers first this time and then the HD-PVR drivers. WinTV was now able to scan and find digital channels on the HVR-2250. But GB-PVR still had the BDA issue during the channel mapping process. Then I remembered that I was playing around with the qam.ini in the .\BDA\ATSC directory earlier to get my HDHR to scan correctly with the new HDHR firmware. After putting the original qam.ini file back, the GB-PVR scan process worked correctly and I was able to map the channels.

Thanks.
