Hi,

I know this has been mentioned before, but I can't remember if a solution was suggested or not.

I'm looking for a way that I can control my GBPVR server (in the living room) via my mobile phone screen. I've tried "Bluetooth Remote Control" but it is too laggy to be of much use.

My main objective is to be able to control the music library / net radio without needing to turn the TV set on, useful for parties. This really requires that music filenames are displayed as a list on the phone.

Has anyone any thought?

Thanks

Take a look at Puppetmaster. I had tried that in the past.
You can view WMP & winamp playlists I think. It was a while ago.

It's pay-ware, but has a free trial

I think you'll be able to set it up to work with GBPVR (I am pretty sure I did this when I tried the s/w - a couple of years ago though)
It's not really using GBPVR for the UI, as that would slow everything down, bt if you are not turning the TV on does it matter?

Bekken is using Salling Clicker with his mobile and a profile that he made for GBPVR.....to control his notebook. :-)
I will have a look at that some day.....but my regular remote works pretty fine. Trying out the iMon remote now.

If Bekken could share his gbpvr clicker script that would be great - have used salling/winamp combo a couple of times, but gbpvr integration would be very cool.

Intelliremote's iPhone app is really nice and uses your wifi for connection so it has no problem going through walls. I updated the GBPVR profile and it works great. It won't display the song titles but I did map a button that will take you straight to the Music plugin.
