q1 why does my time line change(total time) by a few seconds back and fourth as i fast forward is this normal?

q2 is resume meant to work with ts files mine doesnt seem to be working ?

Yes, this is farily normal for now. It cant rely on the timestamps in the file so it estimates the duration based on the average bitrate, and unfortunately it has to watch the stream for quite a while to get an accurate average bitrate.

I do have some ideas to improve this behavior, but it'll have to wait until I have more time available.

It should do. I just gave it a quick test here and it seemed to work fine.

Try playing a file for a while, stopping it, then replaying that file, then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

ok i played blender on c4 at 2:35pm
fast forward to about 20 mins let it play for a bit then stopped tried resuming and it started at the beginning

Was this from the Recordings screen? If so, then because you have <UseMenuResumeButton> set to true, it'll only resume if you click the 'resume' button to start playback instead of 'play' (ie, before playback even begins). It wont show a popup over the video.

i am using the resume not play
even tried enabling propt for resume and that doesnt pop up either
tried it yesturday with an mpeg recording of pvr150 and it worked fine

just checked again to make sure and confirm it still works fine on mpegs from primeTV

If you set <UseMenuResumeButton> to false, and have prompt for resume enabled, does it work? It might need to play a bit of the file before resume works on TS files.

yes that works
but i dont like the pop up i prefer to use the resume under play
any settings i can change to add some "play a bit "
