PVRX2 crash on low signal

I am in the UK and watching DVB via a Hauppauge Nova-T I know some multiplexes have a low signal and every now and then this causes the low signal dialog to pop up and PVRX2 then stops responding. Is this the way that the program is supposed to behave on low signal?

Any suggestions to achieve a more graceful behaviour?

There is a time delay setting for the popup in config.xml somewhere. I'm away from the HTPC at the mo so can't remember exactly what it's called - something like <nosignalpopupdelay> or <BDAnosignalpopup>...Anyway if the signal is just fading out for a few seconds you could try locating and changing this.
