MediaMVP Remote

After installing and configuring the hardware/software I am unable to get the remote that came with the MediaMVP to work with GB-PVR. If I remove GB-PVR and use the default software that came with MediaMVP, it works ok. I have tried it with both checked and unchecked option titled:
Misc->Use direct access to Hauppauge remote

I have the following setup:
WinXP SP2
WinTV-PVR-500
MediaMVP
GB-PVR v0.23.13
P4 2.4GHz
768 MB RAM
60GB HD

How many buttons has your remote got?

After the last release in december, Hauppauge started shipping the new 45 button remote with the MVP. This use this with GB-PVR, you need to copy the dongle.bin file from the most recent Hauppauge software to the GB-PVR dongle directory.

It is the remote that came with the MediaMVP. It has 43 buttons.

Ok, I must admit I havn't counted them and I'm just repeating the number 45 because I'd seen it mentioned by others. It could be 43.

The remote that was shipped in the box with the MVP was changed about a month ago. The new one requires the updated dongle.bin I mentioned in my earlier post. It has the color buttons at the very bottom of the remote.

I guess it is 45 (ch and vol can be counted as 2 butons). In any case I did what you sugessted and it woeks. Thanks! Is there a way to probram the color buttons?
