Many channel reassignments coming over the next couple of days,

When rescanning a digital tuner the scan cache and existing channels are added to the channel source drop down.

How can we clear this list so it only shows what it has found on the scan and nothing else.

Could we also have the frequency the channel is on since at the moment there are duplicate channels and these show up twice with no indication of what the difference is.

Yeah, quite a few over the next week or so...

Sorry was hoping to find a link on the TCL site, but they don't have it listed...

About 10 - 15 channels are changing....

Delete the scan cache file?

Yeah I tend to do that, but there still seem to be some "residual" channel names showing up, I guess they come from the DB.

And while I could remove the channel source completely, that seems like taking a tank to kill an Ant...

The fastest and safest way to do this is probably to save your BDA mappings first, then remove the source, recreate the source and import the previously saved mapping using WizBDAChannelTool

It's also possible to directly change the SQL db.

Those "residual" entries at the top of the list are your current mappings (only for that source I think). You would need to clear the current mappings and the easies way is by removing the capture source.

So export recordings, delete capture source, delete cache file, rescan, import recordings.

Sound about right??

I'd put a backup gbpvr program directory tree at the top of the list though Smile

I generally do a copy & paste of ?:\program files\devnz\ gbpvr directory
