on my client (using share) tv-playback stops after some seconds.
seems to get some stopping event from somewhere:

hmm,are you running the recording service 'out of process'? [in config misc tab]
i was running it this way and had a recording stop in the middle, also from some 'stop' request that i don't know where it came from...maybe unrelated but sounds same..
i thought it may be a one-off glitch, and since changing back to regular recording operation, hasn't happened since...[but it hasn't been too long]

i notice yours happened close to when it was started, but mine canceled halfway thru a football game..[2 hrs in,1+ to go]
had batteries out of remote so i couldn't have canceled it..and hard to imagine i accidentally hit cntrl-s on keyboard so puzzled as to where it came from..
nothing else was scheduled for that time, tho i noticed the file was 24gigs,and that's kinda big for less than 2 hrs..

i also notice, mine was also doing a LoadNext24HourEvents() out of the blue right before the stop came...

i wasn't too disappointed cuz the second half of the game sucked anyways...but still..
first time that's ever happened to me...

I had the same problem when using file sharing. It would stop on playback after a few seconds. You can try to adjust the LiveTV pre-play delay. It is limited to 4000 in the config which didn't solve the problem for me. I edited the config.xml and changed to 6500 which fixed the problem but will cause config.exe to crash when it is run.

seems that you have to use the cyberlink-mux for client/server?

If you use streaming it has to be a .mpg. If you use file sharing you can use ts or mpg.

the client live-tv is still not working without problems. maybe it's because of the twinhan-mantis dvb-c card i use. i'll just stick to the workaround:
- start live-tv or recording directly on the server, using remote desktop
- watch the recorded file on the client.
this is not the smartest way but it works without problems.

Have you tried the updates in the 1.3.7 survival guide (top of the support threads)?

I think there's a fix somewhere in there that makes the live tv pre-delay setting work in the config tool.

all patches installed. still no luck.
after the set delay expires, live-tv starts playing fine but then stops after some seconds.

- for web-streaming i installed vlc on both pcs + had to enable port 7647 on onecare firewall
- with k-lite codec pack enabled ffdshow for most available options
- disabled "use live-preview mode if possible on client"
- using 4000 for live-tv-pre-delay

=> now i can watch a single channel without stopping sometimes. but sometimes it still stops after some seconds.
