Hi,

I am just wondering if anybody has managed it it get the HVR 930C (Triple-Hybrid: Analog DVB-T DVB-C) working? I just trying to map channels using the DVB-C Tuner - but without success.

Have installed the latest drivers from 11/2008.

Added this to bda.ini:

Quote:[Hauppauge HVR-930C]
TUNING_TYPE=DVB-C
FILTER_TUNER=WinTV HVR-930C BDA Tuner
FILTER_CAPTURE=WinTV HVR-930C BDA Capture
PIN_TUNER_IN=Input0
PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=MPEG2 Transport

Maybe there has something else to be changed because of the triple tuner? Would appreciate it very much to get some hints.

Regards,
pw

I'm fairly sure it should work. Try doing a scan, then zip and attach the config.exe.log and config.exe-native.log and I'll take a look.

The HVR930c does work. With the BDA settings for FILTER_TUNER you are using, your are accessing the DVB-T-tuner. If you are using cable (DVB-C), try this instead.

[Hauppauge HVR-930 (DVB-C)]
TUNING_TYPE=DVB-C
FILTER_TUNER=WinTV HVR-930C DVBC Tuner
FILTER_CAPTURE=WinTV HVR-930C BDA Capture
PIN_TUNER_IN=Input0
PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=MPEG2 Transport

Good luck

Guido, changing the FILTER_TUNER to DVB-C fixed it. THANKS a TON!

Sorry, for re-opening this thread.

I just installed GB-PVR, restarted windows and then started the config.exe.
At 'Capture Sources' I clicked on 'Add', then 'Digital Recording Plugin' as 'Recording Source' and then 'Settings'.
Now: I marked the "Only show devices detected in this machine' with a cross, and then just the 'Hauppage HVR-930C DVB-T'-entry appeared.
I'm using the 930c with Cable. The WinTV v6 with drivers is installed.
If I ignore crossing it and just choose the DVB-C-entry, and after closing the Setting-Window, and then choose the 'EPG-Source' as 'DVB EPG Broadcast', and then Map digital channels to EPG channels, I get a long error-message from 'Microsoft .NET Framework and Informations about JIT-Debugging.
Shall I post it? It's in German. The error-message also appears if I choose a tuner (for example NOVA-S), in this step I get the same error message.

Shall I uninstall WinTV or something else?

(Sorry for my English.)

Thanks

The original version of the 930C drivers did not expose a DVB-C interface. I'm guessing you're using that older drivers. Try downloading the newest drivers.

Thank you very much for your fast reply.

I downloaded the 'newest' drivers, but the numer and the name of the file are they same I already tried (I thought so), but this time, Windows Vista didn't said, that I already would have them. So the installing worked, and GB-PVR really found also the DVB-C-version of the stick. Thanks.

But I somehow crashed the hole application by stopping a process with the task-manager (I shoudn't have, I know). I now restarted the hole thing and try it once again. There is anyway something wrong with my tuner, so the problem is not GB-PVR. (Never fear)

You edit the "c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr\bda.ini" file, and add the section posted above.
