Hi

I've been using your wonderful software for a day now and find it great. I had a few teething problems, mainly the channellogos folder hadn't been created and I was getting errors, but I do have a problem with my setup which I wonder if anyone else has experienced and has an answer for.

Firstly, I'm using a hauppauge wintv-nova-td-500 pci card, with dual freeview (DVB-T) tuners.

The original hauppauge software was a total pile of rubbish, and even though I managed to record an hour long program, the resulting file is unplayable - skips from one scene to another every few seconds, hangs all 4 or 5 players I've tried and is a total waste.

That's when I stumbled upon your program, and it works very well. Takes a bit of getting used to when configuring the software etc. So many options, so hard to choose the right one.

Anyway, back to my problem. I have scanned for channels, and even though not all of them have been displayed, I think I've got enough. The trouble is, that for each channel, "BBC 1", for example, there's a second channel in the list called "BBC 1 (Audio #2)". This wouldn't be a problem, but when viewing the EPG, the original "BBC 1" has no program information, but the "BBC1 (Audio #2)" does. I'm not sure what to do next, as I feel I need to somehow associate both BBC 1 channels together.

The other problem is that when viewing one of the "Audio #2" channels, there is no audio played. I can't therefore record a program by selecting it in the EPG on this channel - instead I have to set up a manual recording to get the right channel number.

I hope all this makes sense, and I could post a picture of my channel list window (or any other file or log) if that helps.

Many thanks

Simon

You were only supposed to take one of the two "BBC 1" options. To two options are the two audio channels broadcasts. You should delete all the audio #2 channels. These the visually impaired commentary audio streams, which are only sometimes used, and of no use to GB-PVR.

First off, welcome to GB-PVR and congratulations on creating the longest thread title in living memory Big Grin

Need some info on your channel setup and what you're trying to achieve.

My guess is that you've added a capture source for one of the Nova 500's tuners. You probably want the Recording source to be "Digital Recording Plugin" and the EPG source to be "DVB EPG Broadcast". Then click map digital channels to EPG channels and untick all the Audio #2 type channels (you don't need these).

Posting/linking to some screenshots of your current config may help with answering further questions.

Hi guys.

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly.

Sorry it took me so long to reply. Right, more details on my settings. I've set up both tuners. On each I'm using the "BDA Recording Plugin", with the "DVB EPG Broadcast" for EPG data.

I searched for and received a list of programmes, and now after doing this again, I have deleted all the "Audio #2" ones.

Now, finally, after doing it for both tuners, this has solved the problem.

For some reason, GB-PVR was showing the guide information for only the Audio #2 channels, and not adding it to the normal channels. Deleting the Audio #2 channels solved this, after I updated the EPG listing.

Thanks guys.
