I have the following situation
  • Under TV Guide, I'm getting "no show details" for all channels for current time and any time in the future and 2 hours back.
  • Under TV Guide, I can see show details just fine if I go back more than a couple of hours (scroll to the left).
  • Under Recordings, I can see show details just fine for all shows which are pending to record, including shows 10 days into the future.
So I'm guessing there's a glitch in the TV Guide not properly displaying show details. Any advice?

Thanks!

Using SchedulesDirect with GBPVR v1.3.7

Start the app, go to the tv guide, confirm the tv guide is showing no listings for the current time, then zip and attach the pvrx2.exe.log file.

Hey Sub, thanks!

See attached.

In doing this, I noticed that this time the TV Guide has show details until about 6:00PM. After that, it is "no show details".

If I think about it, I'm always checking the TV Guide after 8:00PM. So maybe instead of going two hours back, really it's more an issue that the listing stops around 6:00PM. Just thinking out loud.

Can you click 'Update EPG' in the config app, then zip and attach you config.exe.log?

Hey Sub, see attached. After updating the EPG, I looked at the TV guide again and as before, it's good to 6:00/7:00 PM and then it's blank after that. Right now it's 1:30 PM my time, so it's showing details for current time.

Got delayed in responding to this due to the company I work for filing for bankruptcy protection. Kind of throws things into disarray.

There is a known problem with the Schedules Direct service that has affect a couple of GB-PVR users in the past (as well as other apps), that can cause schedules direct to decide the end-date of the listings requested was invalid and default to today. It related something funny with the networking, and the request spanning network packets or something like that. I cant remember the exact details, but go to the Schedules Direct forums and search for 'MTU'.

It effects some tiny fraction of a percentage of users. I'm not sure what is different about those users, but I'm pretty sure you've got this problem too.

Sub, what about the fact that pending recordings show the details properly, even for 10 days in the future? That to me would mean I'm getting the schedulesdirect listings just fine.

Edit: I notice somebody else posting on the forums to schedulesdirect on the MTU issue that they were getting their TV guide to show listings until the next day 7:00 PM. Which seems to correlate with my situation (though I'm one day shorter). So could be that I'm in the same boat, regardless of me not having any problems in seeing show details in pending recordings.

Thanks!

I suspect the pending recordings were created by a previous EPG update that was successful and had that many days of listings, but for whatever reason SD has now started only supplying you the one day of listings.
