Hi, welcome!

What is the exact model of the card. Is it an analogue and digital? Because it is probably only the digital side that will work.

There seems to be a few people with k-world cards working here - although I don't think the support is totally in-built yet.

Sub is the expert - but let me try to confuse you Smile

You will need to add an entry to your bda.ini something like this:

[KWorld DVB-T 355U]
TUNING_TYPE=DVB-T
FILTER_TUNER=BDA 2870 TVTuner
FILTER_CAPTURE=USB 2870 Device
PIN_TUNER_IN=Input0
PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=MPEG2 Transport

or this

[KWorld PlusTV HD PCI 120]
TUNING_TYPE=ATSC
FILTER_TUNER=Conexant 2388x BDA Tuner/Demod
FILTER_CAPTURE=Conexant 2388x AVStream TS Capture
PIN_TUNER_IN=Input0
PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=MPEG2 Transport

or this

[KWorld PE310 pcie device0]
TUNING_TYPE=DVB-T
FILTER_TUNER=7162 BDA DVBT Tuner0
FILTER_CAPTURE=7162 BDA Digital Capture0
PIN_TUNER_IN=Input0
PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=MPEG2 Transport

[KWorld PE310 pcie device1]
TUNING_TYPE=DVB-T
FILTER_TUNER=7162 BDA DVBT Tuner1
FILTER_CAPTURE=7162 BDA Digital Capture1
PIN_TUNER_IN=Input0
PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=MPEG2 Transport

I know this last one has a Phillips tuner.
Core2-E2180, 1G RAM, 1Gb-5450 Silent, 2Tb +300g HDDs.
Three tuners: [SIZE=2][SIZE=1]Twinhan DVB-T x 1, Hauppauge Nova 500T (dual)
[/SIZE][/SIZE]
DTB Digital SD + HD content (PAL-MPEG2-AC3).
Custom case made very quiet. Zalman CPU cooler.
Sits in rack with other HiFi.

ParaLED to show tuner activity.

looks like an entirely analog card...i don't see any bda filters or a AM_KSCATEGORY_ENCODER for analog hardware compression, so i doubt this card can be used at all in gbpvr...

no analog encoder, no bda filters..no dice...

tho it may work with wdm software plugin, it's hit or miss and totally unsupported...
easier to just get a real card for less than 50$

@wannebepvr and pBS - BDA drivers (and the bda.ini) are only for purely digital devices or the digital side of digital/analogue hybrid devices. Analogue devices go in the direct.ini file. Smile

@davidvdw - as pBS mentions, if the card doesn't have a hardware MPEG encoder then it won't work with GB-PVR natively.

I'm not an expert on analogue device setup so the following may not work. If it does have a hardware encoder then adding the following section to the direct.ini file, may be a good starting point - ...
Quote:[KWorld XYZ]
INIT_MODE=DEFAULT
INIT_MSP=0
SUPPORTS_FM_RADIO=0
FILTER_CROSSBAR=Philips Cap7134 Crossbar
FILTER_CAPTURE=Philips Cap7134 Capture
FILTER_TV_TUNER=Philips Cap713x TVTuner
FILTER_TV_AUDIO=Philips Cap7134 TVAudio
PIN_CROSSBAR_VIDEO_TUNER_IN=Video Tuner In
PIN_TVTUNER_ANALOG_VIDEO_OUT=Analog Video
PIN_TVTUNER_ANALOG_AUDIO_OUT=Analog Audio
PIN_TVAUDIO_TV_AUDIO_IN=TVAudio In
PIN_TVAUDIO_TV_AUDIO_OUT=TVAudio Out
PIN_CROSSBAR_AUDIO_TUNER_IN=Audio Tuner In
PIN_CROSSBAR_VIDEO_DECODER_OUT=Video Decoder Out
PIN_CAPTURE_ANALOG_VIDEO_IN=Video Composite In
PIN_CROSSBAR_AUDIO_DECODER_OUT=Audio Decoder Out
PIN_CAPTURE_ANALOG_AUDIO_IN=Analog Audio In
PIN_CAPTURE_CAPTURE_OUT=Capture
PIN_CAPTURE_PREVIEW_AUDIO_OUT=Preview
PIN_WRITER_INPUT_IN=Input
Note the first line that says [KWorld XYZ] - change the 'XYZ' to whatever the card name is.

Sub's the expert but I think he mentioned he's away for a few days.

Cheers,
Brian

Sorry, that card has no hardware encoder, so isnt usable in GB-PVR.
