HD PVR Remote

Does anyone use the the Haup remote with the HD PVR? Mine doesn't work at all. I have 4 of the same remotes but can't them to work on the HdPvr with GBPVR 1.3.11. Everything else works very well (finally). All works great with the mouse and keyboard but nothing with a remote. The remotes all work on my other systems with HVR1600, pvr150 and pvr 500. Does it work at all with this setup or will I have to put a PVR150 in there just to get the remote going?
I have 2 HDPVR's and even if I switch them it still doesn't work.
I re-installed the the ir32 and set "fix hauppage 45 button" in config but still can't get it working.

Sorry, my early pre-release HD-PVR didnt have remote control support so I cant answer this.

My remote has been flaky, and it didn't work at all originally. At first I figured it was just due to conflict with my pvr150 and pvr250, and I eventually deleted all the devices and installed the HD-PVR first before the other cards and then the remote started working. That lasted for about 4 months and now it's stopped working again for some reason.

So, no real advice but at least you're not alone...

I had the remote working quite well a while ago but it isn't working currently. I think that it may have stopped working when I updated the drivers for my HD PVR. I will try to get it to work again soon and if I do I will post what I did to get it to work.

Someone might have posted this before but there are beta drivers (1.0.5.4) on the shspvr forums. I haven't tried them myself but if anyone wants to try them here is the link:

Have you installed all the software from the CD? There was another app required to be installed to get the remote working but I can't remember which one it was at the moment. The other app installed a file that the IR app depended on.

Yes I installed all the software from the cd except the irbalster. And I even tried the 1.0.5.3 and 1.0.5.4 drivers. But the ir32.exe is the same revision as on the cd.
Can un-installing the ir.exe from the hdpvr and instaling the 150 and use the ir.exe from that work?
If so I could use the 150 for base sd channel recording and the hdpvr for hd programming. Has anyone tried the two in the same system?
These HD PVR's are alot of trouble for the price!! and not that good support from Hauppauge. I have a C2 and a D2 and both are very finicky.

NB. Sub you got a donation because it's been awhile since I sent one and ver 1.3.11 is working flawlessly with my Hvr1600 on a older system with amd2800 cpu and a 9600xt vid card.

I think whurlston is right, you need to install the ir blaster program for the remote to work. I also needed to install the scheduler to get the ir blaster to install.
