First off I want to say that this looks like a fantastic piece of software!

Now on to my problem. I installed gbpvr just fine and the configuration went smoothly. My problem seems to have begun when I opened the software for the first time and changed the theme from blue to the other one. (cant remember the name) After I changed that, the program locked up and I had to force quit. since then, whenever I try to launch it, I get a generic error that pvrx2 has encountered a problem and needs to close. I have also tried uninstalling and reinstalling. when I reinstall, everything is fine until the very end of the install process and then it gives the same error and closes.

I am attaching the zipped log files and would appreciate any help!

Thanks!

ok this is a total guess, but there's lots of 'can't find filters' in your logs. try start->programs->gbpvr->reregister filters.

Can you zip and attach your config.xml file?

Wow. Thanks for replying so quickly!

@fuzzweed - I ran the reregister filters program and it ran all of the way through and I got a succeeded message at the end. but gbpvr still crashes when I try to launch it.

@sub - there are three "config" related files so I just included all of them. Wasn't sure which one you need as the plain config.xml file doesn't have anything in it.

Also, don't know if this makes any difference, but I am using the Pinnacle pctv hd usb 801e tuner.

Thanks!

Hmm.. This is strange. I just restarted my computer and tried to start gbpvr from the system tray. It crashes and gives me the attached dialog. I don't know if it is helpful or not.

Thanks!

Your problems are because your config.xml file is damaged. Delete the config.xml file and replace it with a copy of the config-master.dont-edit-me.xml file.
