Hello all, I've been playing with GBPVR here and there and have had difficulty setting it up with HDHomeRun. Finally after using a combination of instructions, for the most part it looks like I can get it running.

However, there is a key problem, no picture in the PVRX2 app. I've been able to get the gbHDHR_tune to record video manually, that is I use a command line to enter a channel and file path and it does record, but even that doesn't seem to work correctly.

It looks to ignore the channel I enter in the command line and records whichever channel is tuned in using HDHomeRun Config.

By some miracle, I had it working temporarily. I tried to save my settings but something wasn't right. Also note I've had strange results with the bgHDHR_tune, it works sometimes with "" or no " when using the parameter mode.

I've checked the log files, and I have no errors aside from the typical skin errors.

I don't know why the picture won't display using PVRX2 and don't know why in command line mode why the app won't record the channel I tell it to.

Note that in GB-PVR mode, if I change channels the status tuner shows the channel changing. Don't now if it's actually doing it but it does show it.

Running a Dell 1210 with 7400 go gfx card 2 GB of memory
Windows XP Home edition SP3

GB-PVR 1.3.11 version, I did install one of the patches
VLC .9.8a
gbHDHomeRun version 1.0.0 (config.exe)

Any help is much appreciated.

Regards,

Mike

gbHDHR_tune is for an older version of the software and should no longer be used. See http://www.silicondust.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5449 for the most recent setup instructions. I will always update that thread when a change to the setup occurs.

If you have any trouble or question with the setup, just post it here and I'll try to answer it.

Thanks for the help... When I saw the two differing set of instructions, I thought that might be the case however,
I'm having trouble finding the source. I don't see it as one of the digital recording plugin options. What am I missing?
Is it the equivalent of another source? Is there a different external source program I need to use?

Mike

Did you add the entries to your bda.ini? (See step 6 of the instructions.)

Yes... Is there more than one bda.ini file?

No there isn't. Can you run Filtercheck.exe located in the GBPVR folder and zip and post the resulting filtercheck.log file? Also include your bda.ini and I'll double check it.

I took a look at the filter.log, probably looks like what you're going to be expecting to see.

I kept fiddling with it and after running the filtercheck.exe I was able to see my tuners on the list. It may have just been that I was looking for them to be in the list in alphabetical order, but they ended up on the bottom since this was were they were added to the end of the bda.ini file.

I thought I had looked there, but maybe I just didn't scroll down enough Smile

Anyhow, thanks for the help. On to the next issues. Looks like when watching live tv the audio is out of sync and for some reason the screen goes black when I try to use the pause, timeshift, functionality. Seems to record just fine using the Guide option.

Any ideas?
