I spent most of last weekend trying to get iso's to play from Video Library
I have latest Daemon Tools Lite installed along with AnyDVD HD
I can only get this to work by increasing the daemon tools preplay delay to a minimum of 14000 (14 secs) and disabling ballon tips in AnyDVD.
In the slysoft forums there seams to be a consensus of opinion that Anydvd and Daemon Tools are not happy together and to use Virtual Clone Drive (Freeware no adverts or hijacking) It is meant to be compatible with 3rd party software written for daemon tools, but after hours of trying I gave up
Has anyone got Virtual Clone Drive to work with GBPVR or is there a way to decrease the delay for Daemon Tools to start and still play iso first time. (14 secs = 50 button presses in wife time Big Grin) )

Help would be very much appriceated as most things are now working purfectly

I foudn with Daemon tools that the commandline is different for the free version available now it's in \program files\daemon tools lite\
rather than just daemon tools.

I tired to change that within the config app - but it seemed to not ever take notice of what I had put in there.

I eveutally changed the program files directory to just daemon tools, and it started working - not 100% until I changed options under daemon tools to uncheck "Secure Mode" which means you have to confirm commandline access I think.

Give that a go, and see if it helps.

I had the same problem with the requirement to to uncheck "Secure Mode" on the new version. I was trying to play iso's of BluRay/HD-DVDs with PowerDVD when the iso was clicked inside GBPVR. I could get iso's of DVD's mounted to play with GBPVR's internal player for DVD's, but I wanted it to detect when my iso was HD and start an external player. Ultimately, I was able to change config.xml to start a bat file named Daemon.bat instead of starting daemon.exe. The bat file would mount the iso and detect if it was an HD iso. If it was, it would kill the GBPVR process, run PDVD, then restart GBPVR after PDVD was closed. If not, it just handed the mounted DVD back to GBPVR as if daemon.exe had been run.

You can put anything you want in the bat file - I had some delays at one time. I think I did a defined number of pings at one second intervals for my delay. I posted my batch file. If you can't find it, or need more info, let me know.

Thanks for the replies
I had found out about disabling secure mode, but it seems to be the problem of daemon tools scanning the iso at the same time as anydvd is trying to scan that is causing me to have to put in a 14 second preplay delay into config.

Now running a batch file instead of daemon tools could be the way to run Virtual Clone Drive instead (It is designed to work with AnyDVD). I will look into this over the next couple of days. (After I repair the carnage of installing Esset Smart Security Suite 4 :madSmile

The latest version of Virtual Clone Drive after install has a Daemon.exe in the instalation folder.
First of all I tried pointing GBPVR directly at that, but although it would unmount and mount images all I could get was a black screen (going back out of the menu and going to DVD would allow it to play)
After looking at Dennits batch file
http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=36679

I modified it to point at the Virtual Clone Drive Daemon.exe and after a lot of experimentation found that putting a 4 second timer in the bat file and changing the preplay delay in config.xml to 6500 all seems to work fine with about a 10 second pause from clicking on the iso to the dvd playing.

I have also used the open powerdvd line for if the isos are blueray, but may go to movie library in the future
also added the demount command to my wake.cmd file

If anybody ca think of a neater way to do it please let me know
