HVR-1600 Changing Channel from Digital to Analog

First off I want to say that I use to run GB-PVR about a year and a half ago but uninstalled it because QAM support was iffy. But now, I would not use any other program on the internet to tune in QAM channels. MUCH better then cr@ppy WinTV. Anyway my question is when I am tuned onto a digital channel such as CBS-HD (2.1, March Madness Baby) and then switch to an analog channel such as ESPN (Ch. 57) it goes to the analog channel but no sound or picture comes up. Now when I look at the Recording Status window, it verifies that it has switched to the analog tuner and has the right channel tuned in. I have tried everything from changing renders to different codecs and nothing help. I am attaching the log files to see if anyone can help me out. Thank You in advance.

It does look decoder related to me. What video decoders have you tried?

Right now I am using Intervideo Video Decoder and Intervideo Audio Decoder. Like I said if I turn off GBPVR and turn it back the analog channel works. I have ffdshow installed on my computer installed on my computer. Should I try that again.

The logs looked like the Intervideo decoder was refusing to hook up so I'd definitely try some decoders other than the Intervideo one.

Alright I will try it out. Is it just the video decoder that is messing up or is it both the audio and video?

I cant tell. Could be one or both.

Well I have just tried every combination and no luck . Any other suggestions?

I'm sure it is related to that. Usually when people say they've tried every combination, it usually means they've tried the couple of decoders they had on their machine, and neither of those were any good. Install some others if you need to.

Well I just had a mini breakthrough. I changed the video renderer from VMR9 to EVR and it worked but the picture looked like crap and same with overlay manager. Anything I can do to fix the VMR9 renderer?

As I mentioned, it almost certainly comes down to the video decoders you're using.
