I have the latest SSE version of FFDShow installed, and I have selected the FFDshow filter under Live Preview Mode. Also, I have chosen "All Supported" in the codecs section in FFDShow VFW configuration.

The filter doesn't seem to be working. I can still see horizontal lines.

I'm interested in using this filter since the hardware does not deinterlace the RCA video input on the PVR150.

Are there any settings I need to adjust to get the best, or any, performance out of FFDShow?

Not sure what you mean when you say selected the FFDshow filter under Live Preview Mode... but to use FFDshow deinterlacing, try opening the ffdshow video decoder configuration first. On the left click codecs, on the right scroll down to "Raw Video" and change the decoder to "all supported". If FFDshow loads when you next play a video then you can click on the deinterlacing filter to enable it. I've never needed to touch the VFW config to do this.

So, does that mean I need to be watching a recorded broadcast to have the FFDSHow filter deinterlace the video?

I am hoping to have it work just as Encoder Pass Through works with Live TV.

it really doesn't need that Live Preview Mode setting...just set back to encoder pass thru..
then set the deinterlacing mode in ffdshow, and raw video to all supported...
ya might just wanna use ffdshow as decoder if you want to use the deinterlacing...Smile
it does well as the decoder even when letting vid card deinterlace...

what video card?
you really should let the video card do the deinterlacing if possible...[if it's up to the task] as ffdshow deinterlacing will eat up lots of cpu...
