It looks like they software out paced my hardware.

I have a VIA EPIA-M 933Mhz system. I just use it to play videos, music and pictures. I don't do any recordings. I tried loading the new version but it locks up the computer. I don't believe the system supports VMR9 and I can't get directx 9c to install.

Is it possible to download an older version? One that supports VMR7? When I had it working the Nav displayed up the middle, it was about a year ago. 1.03? Is there an area where I can download older versions?

Old versions are not recommended, and you won't get support.

Actually, even old versions didnt like these VIA EPIA boards. These were always too slow for GB-PVR to perform well.

Thanks for the help. I am not looking to do recording I want this for media playback. I am taking a long road trip with the family and I want to use it in the car. (I did it last year 2 lilliput monitors and a bunch of video and the drive, plug the computer into an inverter and your good to go.)

I will try what you said I always found this to work OK on the EPIA-M but I would not push it more then just a DVD/media player.

Please don't misunderstand I thank you for all of your input!!

A couple of other questions. Should I use .Net 3x or .Net 2.5 also SP2 or SP3.

Also DirectX 9c does not install. Is this needed?
