Hi to all,

I regularly get a recording failure where the task bar icon remains permanently green and the resulting file is 64k.

This has occurred through multiple versions and through two machines (same Sapphire Theatrix 550 PRO).

The most annoying thing is I have to re-boot the entire machine to get it going again. Or, at least I haven't found a way to make it work again without rebooting. Is there a way to re-start the software and have it fully functional?

Also, has anyone else had this odd failure. It occurs regularly and to get around it I always schedule a 1 minute recording right after I boot the machine to check that it has initialized properly

Any help would be appreciated.

This is limited help, but perhaps useful.

On the issue of having to reboot - have you tried stopping/restarting the recording service? Does a restart work, or does it need a complete power down?

Posting the logs is always a good start.

Are you using dvr-ms? (I ask only because I use dvr-ms and, IIRC, I've seen files created of that size).

Hi,

I am only using a standard configuration on the setup. And no, restarting the recording service gets me nowhere, if it isn't working only a complete machine re-boot solves the problem

Thanks for your suggestions anyway..
