Over the past several days I decided my current but several times upgraded version of GBPVR was nonfunctional. It still worked, but there were so many bugs and configuration issues...(mostly self inflicted... I'm just a hack after all and this is great software) I just decided I needed a clean install.

Now I uninstalled and reinstalled from scratch. Completely clean database from the 1.3.11 installer.

I scheduled several shows. Then I went into recordings and into the recurring menu. For some reason the Ctrl-f and Ctrl-d keystrokes are not changing the priority on my recordings.

I've had that problem for awhile now and it was one of the main reasons for my decision to reinstall. I have a hard time actually finding anything on these forums, and I've searched several different keywords... try searching "recording, priority, and bug" on these forums... Whew. =)

Anyone know what would cause GBPVR to behave this way? Especially on a clean install.(uninstall, delete the install folder, reinstall, config from scratch)

It's not an issue at this point, I have multiple tuners setup, but someday there will probably be a 3 show conflict.

*** Nevermind, I figured out the issue. The mouse won't select the recording item. You have to manually browse over to the show with the arrow key for it to be actually selected. ***

But it leads me to another question. Is there any way to look in the recordings database to see what's in it? What tools are good for going into the database and editing stuff? I'm proficient enough to hack that stuff and I've got BEX setup to backup everything nightly anyway. So I'm confident in tinkering with it.

*** Another Nevermind, I figured out the issue. I'm slow, it takes me awhile to find stuff. ***

Here's the details in case anyone else happens upon my post.

you need to get SQLiteSpy and follow these steps:
1. Backup your gbpvr.db3 (just in case!)
2. Stop the GBPVR recording service and open your gbpvr.db3 in SQLiteSpy
3. Open the recording schedule table (main -> Tables -> RECORDING_SCHEDULE) This is a listing of all your scheduled recordings, and all recordings saved within GBPVR.
4. Find your scheduled recordings and you'll notice the "Priority" column is blank. What you need to do is fill in the Priority cell for each recording, starting with 0, and not duplicating any of them. You can edit the cell in SQLiteSpy with the F2 button.
5. Exit SQLiteSpy and restart the recording service.
6. Start GBPVR, and your recordings can now be prioritized with the FF/REW buttons.

i think there is a fix in the survival guide or somewhere to fix the mouse issue
also make sure you have installed all patches from the survival guide

start a new thread for a database editor you might get a better response
