What works: SDTV (WinTV PVR UsB2)

What works once: any HDTV channel - I can run PVRX2, select any HD channel and it plays fine.
If I then hit escape to return to the menu and select any other HD channel, or even reselect the same channel I just viewed it displays "No signal detected". If I completely close and reopen PVRX2 it will again play any channel, once.
I notice that the GBPVR recording service launches two instances of PVRX2, and launching PVRX2 adds a third. When I watch a channel and then hit escape to return to the menu the third instance of PVRX2 continues to run. When I close PVRX2 completely the third instance stops running, then starts again when I relaunch PVRX2. This closing and reopening of the third instance seems to be the only thing that makes channel viewing possible, and this does not occur when I simply return to the menu and try to select another channel. I am wondering if GBPVR is trying to launch a fourth instance of PVRX2 and finding three already running is becoming confused somehow.

GBPVR 1.3.11; 1 X WinTV PVR USB2; 1 X PCH100; AMD 3500+, Nvidia 6600GT, 2GB RAM, XP

A couple of HDHR users have had this sort of problem in the past. I dont remember what the solution was. A couple of comments I remember which may have been related - disable device pooling in the HDHR setup, or maybe try setting the application type to GB-PVR in the HDHR setup (if its already set to GBPVR, try setting it to MediaPortal).

Tried either and both. No luck. I will see if I can find any posts by those other HDHR users.

Nope, it's not that (Dynamic tuner allocation between computers).

Try backspace instead of escape. It works for me.

That doesn't exit LIVETV and return me to the program guide. Escape does.

But escape shuts down the TV signal so I have to stay away from it. Backspace steps back through previous screens with no signal loss. At least I can go back and forth and change channels without having to restart PVRX2.

Like you I am not happy with the escape problem though.

Yes I am.

And I need to correct my previous posts referring to the backspace key. On my laptop backspace and home keys look very much alike each with a left arrow. It's definitely the home key I was talking about. I just realized that reading your post in an another thread.

Very sorry for the confusion.
