Hello everyone.
Until recently I could record BBC HD and get a perfect SRT file from the teletext subtitles on page 888. This seems to have stopped working and still didn't work when, after trying everything else, I retrograded my whole XP Pro partition (inc GBPVR) using GHOST to a time when everything worked fine.
The log files show no problems with a connection to subtitle page 888, but I always finish up with a .SRT file of 0KB
I can't test teletext directly as I haven't a fast enough system. I play the recordings back through an HDX1000 NMT.

SRT files are created for all my SD recordings using DVR-MS so I imagine that the appropriate filters are correctly registered.

I'm out of ideas and beginning to wonder if BBC HD is quite simply not transmitting teletext subs any more.

Could somebody confirm to me that recording BBC HD subtitles still works for them? If so I'll follow up, post my logs and come begging for help
Thanks

I've never used teletext, but I just fired up DVBViewer and BBC HD seems to be sending subtitles during the tennis on 888. Sorry, I can't really help any further.

Martint123 & mvallevand. Thanks for your help on this.
It looks like I need to keep digging, as this did work and the subtitles are still there.

mvallevand, thanks for the clip. I've downloaded it & will try it. Just be clear though, my subtitles were not in the .TS stream but GBPVR used to capture the teletext stream to a separate .SRT file. it still creates the file but nothing gets written into it size - 0KB. Works fine for SD recordings;
Sub or anyone, is the teletext stream also stored in the .TS file? This would allow me to make sure that it was at least there.
I'll do a quick recording and post my logs in the near future in the hope that someone has an idea
Thanks

Yes, if its present.

If you can make a short BBC HD file available, I can check for you.

Ok so now I feel really stupid. Why look for a simple solution when you can look for a complicated one!
It turns out that BBC HD have changed all their PID's over the last few weeks. If I ever looked at live TV for BBC HD I might have worked this out as I have a black screen, but my PC hasn't got the horsepower to play it back so I never do.
As recordings play back fine I assume that both PVRX2 and the NMT work the PID's out for themselves when playing back a .TS file, as PVRX2 tries to show a picture and the HDX1000 works fine
This is all theory for the moment as I'm not at home but I'm willing to bet that if I do a rescan (or just change the cache file as I'm impatient), the .SRT file will be back
Thanks to everyone for your help. If Marti hadn't posted those two text PID's I'd still be searching
