the PVRX2 window loads and only shows the image of what was below the window. Like a picture. If left open it will eventual close.

I have Windows XP sp3
BIOSTAR VP5200SS16 GeForce FX 5200 128MB 64-bit
2g memory
WinTV-PVR-500

It looks like something is wrong with Direct3D on your machine (or possibly video card drivers).

Yes, Sorry. I found that it was loading the windows default VGA driver. I fixed that and it looks great! even with my cheap video card.

Issue I'm now having.

Missing channel.

I checked config. epg shows the channel 58 scifi. The tv guide does not show it and a few others. I can not tune to it.

How do I debug missing channels?

Whats your EPG source? Is that EPG source supplying channel 58?

I did not set one up. it may have used a default, or found the old install, but I'm pretty sure I removed it all last year.

I found channel 58 up at 101. so it works, but I guess I need to set up the epg provider again. I remember its in the forum some place. any recommendations?

other than that I guess consider this closed.
thanks.

You must have set one up. There is no default EPG. (it'd be different in every country of the world)

So the most likely cause of a channel being missing is because whatever EPG source you're using didnt supply that missing channel.

I previously had GB-PVR installed. Had some unrelated issues and did a repair install of XP and uninstalled GB-PVR along with some other software. Its been so long I forgot what epg I used, but last time channel 58 was 58. All the card settings and such were already in place when I went through the setup so I'm guessing the old setup file was still in place. Default directory install. Literally all I did was install and review the configuration settings. Tuner card and the dual tuners showed up already.

For the life of me I can not remember the epg program I used last time.
Under the config I click up date it says reading X file then saves. I do recall it was a pain to find one after ** closed down.

I really like this new slick skin.

Have a look at what epg source you have setup in your capture source settings.

Ok, it'll most likely be caused by whatever the source of your xmltv file is.
