EWA doesn't like renamed recordings

I use a cron job to automatically cut commercials from my recordings & they get output as mpg2 transport streams.

This causes a problem with my PVR-500 captures since they are initially recorded as *.mpg

If I try to stream a file once it's been renamed, I get an error (because VLC can't find the mpg file). However, once I list the show in PVRX2 (after it's been renamed), then I can stream it as well since the GBPVR database has been updated.

That behavoir would make sense to me since EWA is really a web interface into the GBPVR API and database and does very, very little (by design) direct access to files or the database.

So if GBPVR needs to run to get the db info updated then EWA will not recognize anything until the GBPVR db is updated....

Does that make sense?

yep - i just updated my script & if the original file was mpg, it calls videoredo with /t1 instead of /t4 to output mpg
