Im almost there. Everything is working except for when I want to watch a channel that I select in the guide. If i highlight the show and press OK, the OSD guide updates to that channel but the STB stays at the same channel. Obviously this is something that I might need to set up in HIP however, Im not exactly sure which keypress and code to use.

Does anyone know?

im using MCE remote from the pvr 150 mce kit.

everything is good except when im in the guide, i select a show then click "watch", it doesnt go to that channel. it just goes to the livetv and whatever channel is currently on. the osd shows the new channel i want to go to but the stb is still on the old channel.

it has to be some hip/stb configuration but im not sure what part of gbpvr maps to what in the stb.

have you set up your hauppauge mce remote dongle with the emitters etc?

Is it set to use haupblast.exe in your capture source settings?
Hip is used to send keystrokes to gbpvr (and can also be used to send IR to your STB)

Did you receive a set of IR "buds" withyour 150 kit? (these are used to send the remote signals to your STB to change channels)

yes i have those set up. so actually i can change the channel if i use the ch+ and the c- and using the numeric buttons. the problem is when i am in the guide and i select a show on a different channel and click OK or Play, gbpvr switches to the LiveTV and the EPG OSD shows the channel and show information that I want to watch but the actual channel that is being displayed is the same and has not switched. What it makes me think is that gbpvr knows to change the channel but hip is not actually sending that info to the STB.

For example:

-Currently watching 144 on LiveTV
-Go to the TVGuide and select channel 93 -> Click OK
-Gbpvr switches back to LiveTV and OSD info displays channel 93 info however what is actually showing is still channel 144

Hip mapping for "Play" is set to ^p. This is with a MCE remote issue. Before switching to this MCE + Hip + STB setup, I used the pvr 350 with the Huappage 45 button remote and everything worked like a charm. This MCE setup is just a pain.

I really hope someone can help. Thanks.

Probably NOT helpful but have you tried ditching Hip and going with IR Server Suite? Tried Hip moons ago and after much head scratching found the latter, worked quickly and pretty much out of the box.

Ahh, sorry - so if you are watching live TV and hit the channel up, HIP correctly sends the channel change to the STB?

You may want to post your logs. They will show GBPVR making the channel change call.

attached are the logs. what i have done is cleared all the logs to avoid any confusion of the issue. then ran gbpvr live tv (currently tuned to channel 57) then went into the tvguide, and selected channel 32 -> clicked ok-> the info screen comes up and i select "watch" and clicked ok. Livetv comes back and its still on channel 57 and the osd guide is showing channel 32 show info.

hope someone can help. cheers.
