/etc/mvpmc/mvpmcx2 &

If that gives a thirty second black screen that returns to the NMT software there is another issue and I'd like you to compress and upload your GBPVR logs.

Also, are you connecting your EGreat directly to your PC or through a router?

Martin

I have switch the setting back to default (/etc/mvpmc/mvpmcx2 &). Reboot gbpvr recording service and do a cold boot of the nmt. After I load 'GBPVR from USB' then the screen goes black. My NMT is connected at a 4-ports switch.

The good news is the logs show that GBPVR is installed properly. So again focus on the network and firewalling. On the dummies guide I provide this link http://www.networkedmediatank.com/wiki/i...work_Share It is useful for GBPVR access too, since you have to ensure your private network is configured properly.

Hello Martin,

Good news I have the NMT sofar that it load GBPVR, only the screen is 'green' and double. I have at home another PC which is always on. This machine is install with Windows Server 2008 R2. I want that GBPVR running on this machine. But install GBPVR first on my Vista machine because W2k8 Server have no BDA support onboard. I have read that BDA can install on W2k8. I have now load GBPVR from my W2k8 Server with NFS. I hope so that this goes to work...
Can you help my with the green screen problem?

mvpmcx2 can be loaded from your share even if GB-PVR isn't installed on it without problem. If your GB-PVR server is not always on you can even configure WOL to wake it

Keeping with the energy savings theme, what is wrong with being "green"? Seriously, I think the problem is mixing up component and composite video connections or NMT configuration. If not, upload your GBPVR logs again and I will see if the connect causes another problem.

How great! ;-) I have switch the display in my NMT to HDMI 1080p 60Hz and the GBPVR displays now good! ;-) For now I most try to get my hauppauge PVR500 card run on my w2k8 server box. Are there more people with this problem than I can write all my acts in a manual. Hopefully a lot of people can use that to setup GBPVR on the Egreat. I can send it to you! I was not so far come without your help! For NFS support there is no guest account access necessary.

I don't think the EGreat needs any special instructions, however assuming you mean NFS, if you want to document how to set this up on the wiki for GBPVR users it certainly couldn't hurt. My mvpmc share is on an NFS NAS.

Hello Martin, On my w2k8 box I do not get it running (PVR500 analoog with BDA). I have now run my MVPMC share folder from my w2k8 box (nfs) and run GBPVR on my Vista box. This is not what i will, but is not otherwise... If I want to watch tv then my vista box most on.
My LiveTV is not full screen I have a Panasonic TH-37PX80 TV. Is there a setting in GBPVR for the screen? Or can my TV card (Hauppauge PVR500 - analoog) no higher resolution on?

To get full screen (ie show 4:3 stretched to 16:9) setup the NMT software to show Full instead of Fit. Hitting the Zoom key on the remote toggles through fit, full and crop.

Note that the PVR 500 doesn't need BDA drivers.

Do you meen that this card most also work on Windows server 2008?
I received then errors when I use the TunningAssistent.exe and select my card.

TuningAssistant

Failed to find Crossbar filter. Wrong device type?

OK

I would so happy when I can run it all on my Windows Server 2008 R2. Or in a Virtual machine on the server. That machine is always on. When I start PVRX2 at the w2k8 box then I reseived also an error message ---------------------------

Sorry, this system does not support the required VMR9 video render.

Maybe I can beter switch to IPTV or somthing. Works GBPVR with IPTV from Internet? Maybe I can then run it in a Virtual Machine Box on the W2K8 server? Do you know of there are solutions for? I would 2 or 4 channels TV digital, analoog or IP and use GBPRV to stream it to my TV's. On the sametime I would look at 2 TV and record one or 2 TV shows. Also I want to use the other options in GBPVR (video, photo album, Guide, etc.). The options are very great!

I should have read your questions in order. It sounds like you haven't configured your capture card properly. A virtual machine is a bad idea and GBPVR doesn't do IPTV but you can watch and record multiple hows. Again you probably takes your questions to the general support area where you will reach a wider audience.
