The config program in 1.4.7 does not update PVRX2 program

I am new to this.

I am using vista and when I add a folder into the directories/video library or music library, after I press OK, the program does not update the PVRX2 program. it still has the old folders when i lunch the program and none of the new folders/directories.

what am i doing wrong?:confused: Please help.Smile

If you're on vista/win7, try deleting the "C:\users\<your account>\appdata\local\virtualstore\program files\devnz" directory.

I found this folder. but before i Delete it, what does this folder do?

it worked.

but what was the purpose of this folder?

for those that have the same problem, this was a hidden folder so i needed to "unhidden" it to have access to it.

Vista thinks it knows better than you. Vista wants to dictate how you should use your computer. It creates copies of files that it thinks you should not be updating (such as files in the Program Files folder).

We all know that you are far wiser than Vista and can delete the file quite safely.

I think it is part of Vistas "protection" system. Possibly because the config.xml files is in the program directory, Vista doesn't trust you editing it, so edits a copy. I guess a bit like a sandbox for protection.

You type much faster than me ;(
