WinTV 2000 vs GBPVR - confused

Hey,

I love GBPVR. But there is one thing that confuses me.

In WinTV 2000 when viewing live TV the response rate is excellent, meaning when I change channels WinTV2000 changes almost instantly. However when I change channels in GBPVR there is a 3-5 second delay.

As a result I have been using WinTV for live TV and GBPVR for scheduling recordings. I would love to use GBPVR for both.

I have a Happaupage PVR-250. And I have tried messing around with different encoders/decoders to no avail, is this just because GBPVR is a more complex package, or should I be able to get it working just as fast? Suggestions?

enable "live preview mode" in the config, this way it wont be constantly recording the input to mpeg, then playing that back, but this mode does not allow timeshifting at all times, you must press the pause button to enable timeshifting which takes a few seconds, then after that point onwards it will record the input stream to the hdd then play it back.

you have to decide what you want more, constant timeshifting, or quick channel changing.
