Is it ok to copy the gbpvr database and config.xml from a Windows XP system to a Windows 7 system? Just wondering if there's anything driver or o/s specific in there?

As long as they're the same gbpvr versions, have same hardware (tuners etc) that should work.

Just be aware that the device name in config/source may change with different drivers for different o/s's (the nova-t-500 springs to mind here???)

I think it would be OK, even without these matches. You'd have to redo the tuner source and mappings if the hardware didn't match, but that's about it. I doubt if it would create much trouble if the gbpvr versions differed, although there's probably no reason not to be on the current version.

I don't think you would even have to do the mappings. I have changed devices with just changing driver and device name in config/source.

You're right. I was thinking about completely deleting a tuner and adding a new one. I replicated an installation from an XP system to Vista, where the XP used a QAM tuner card on an old version of GBPVR and the new system used a DVB satellite tuner card on a current GBPVR version. I just copied over the gbpvr.db3 and config.xml, deleted the old sources and set up the new ones. It worked great.
