Hi... I have some questions about GBPVR 1.4.7.

Now, GBPVR 1.4.7 always create a "manual recordings" folder inside my selected folder. How do I save my recordings directly into my selected folder?

Is it possible to record MPEG2 DVB-T channels directly into MPG instead of a TS?

Thank you!

It'll only create and record into a 'manual recordings' folder if you're doing manual recordings. If you do recordings from an EPG, then it'll record into a directory with the same name as the show. If you dont want it to use subdirectories at all, then you can set <AutoCreateFolders>false</AutoCreateFolders> in config.xml.

It depends on the mux you have selected. If you're using the ATI or Cyberlink mux, then you'll get .mpg files.

Ok, added <AutoCreateFolders>false</AutoCreateFolders> into the config.xml!

I don't have ATI or Cyberlink mux in the BDA multiplexer. Will try to figure out how to do it.

Thanks sub!

I *think* if you download & install the ATI AVIVO package, you'll get the ATI Mux (along with the ATI MPEG-2 Decoder). I'm not 100% sure, but I have it on my system and the only way it could have gotten there is from the AVIVO package - it's a fresh Win7 install, nothing else loaded but GB-PVR and AVIVO.

Hi... are you using ATI card?

I'm using nvidia card. Anyway, just now managed to get a copy of ati avivo 1.2 from another thread. Working fine on my pc.
Seems pretty old version. Not sure whether latest version works on non-ATI card or not?

Has something been lost in translation?

The mux is not the decoder. The decoder is set on the Playback tab of Config and "translates" the content of a MPEG stream to display on screen.

The mux is set on one of the Misc tabs and specifies the software gadget used to write a recording file to disk. The options are:

DVR-MS ... uses software that is included in Windows.
TS ... uses software lovingly crafted by Sub and included in GBPVR.
MPG ... uses a Cyberlink or ATI mux and neither is built into Windows or GBPVR and have to be installed from somewhere.

Managed to get the ATI mux by installing ATI avivo 1.2 from another thread. Now can record mpeg2 TS directly to mpg.

Thanks for the link! Will try out those mux inside the thread!

ATI mux and cyberlink mux cannot enable multi-record support.

Any other mux can record mpeg2 TS into mpg and can enable multi-record support?
Thank you!
