Remote keeps starting MCE

Can anyone please help with my remote problem?
I have a Huuppauge media centre remote USB type and it works well with GBPVR out of the box.
Only problem is that it keeps starting windows mwdia center when i press certain buttons.
How do I stop it controling MCE all togeather?
I would love it to start GBPVR when I press the MCE start button too, thinking of removing MCE completly from my PC as it's lack of HD support and other linitations annoys me.

Not at my HTPC at the moment and may not be an elegant solution but I think I turned Media Center Receiver Service or something like that from auto to manual in services.msc.

type "msconfig" in run
stop ehtray from starting under the startup

you can also go into administrative tools and stop the ehtray and media centre stuff there (be carefull what you stop though or your tuners may stop working but dont panic just take not of what you stop then re-enable them if you need to)

use the program "HIP" or "Eventghost" to make it start gbpvr

Thanks fot that Steeb, I disabled MCE from sarting in programe defaults.
Anyone know an easy way to chstomise the keys?

You can use my software LM Remote KeyMap to change the Green (Windows) button behavior. You'll also be able to customize any MCE remote buttons (for GBPVR and other applications), without needing to disable Media Center.

I found that eh kept playing up, even after disabling it.
So I used this program (take ownership) to rename the .exe file.

now my MCE remote is GBPVR only

The I used sageTVlauncher.exe which opens a selected .exe via the 'green button'
