Digital Configuration for ASUS EHD3-100

I am trying to get my Asus EHD3-100 tuner working with GBPVR but whenever I do a channel scan it doesn't pick up any channels. I currently have the tuner hooked up to my antenna and am trying to pick up OTA digital signals. With the Asus tv app that came with the card, I can pick up all of the local stations (total of 11 channels including sub channels) so I know that the card works and can pick up signals.

I added this section to bda.ini:

Attached are the log files from the config utility when I tried to do a channel scan, plus the full FilterCheck log.

Apologies if there is something silly or stupid I'm overlooking; I read through as much documentation and as many forum posts as I could find that seemed relevant, but none of the things I tried from those worked. Thanks for any help!

Quick Update

I unplugged the cable from one of the tuners so the signal now goes directly from my antenna to a single tuner instead of Antenna -> Splitter -> Both tuners. Channel scan picked up some of the channels that I want/expect, so things seem ok, but I'm still missing 4 channels . I still need to work on getting both tuners working, but at least now I know one will work.

My time and experience with this card and software is still measured in hours, but I was able to get mine to detect some channels by adding the following to your entry:

TUNING_SPECIAL=2

I don't know what it does or what other numbers are valid, but I saw that line on some of the other cards in the bda.ini file, so I tried it. I have not yet even completed my setup, so it may be all for naught. Best of luck to you.

Tuning_special tells GBPVR to tune QAM (digital cable) instead of over-the-air ATSC.

@Smay,

If you have the "Tuning_Special" line in your entry, remove it. It looks like you are scanning QAM rather than OTA.

All for naught, as it turns out. It detected a couple HUNDRED channels, most of them are encrypted. The ones that aren't just display garbage, huge pixelated blocks. GB-PVR does not work for me/this tuner card, so I give up.

The pixelated blocks would be a decoder issue. Try specifying different MPEG decoders in Config
