I have updated mvpmcx2o.7z to deal with LiveTV stopping changes in v2.0. If you use your NMT for LiveTV this is a mandatory update. The file is available from NMTInstall2 and direct download.

There is also a significant change for NTSC and PAL viewer. The default screen size has been updated to 800x600 which produces a nicer canvas for the NPVR menus. Most SD users will need to update their config.xml to match. I suggest starting with this

Code:
<MAC-0006DC.....>
        <MVPClientType>PCH2</MVPClientType>
        <MVPWidth>720</MVPWidth>
        <MVPHeight>560</MVPHeight>
        <MVPOffsetX>40</MVPOffsetX>
        <MVPOffsetY>20</MVPOffsetY>
        <MVPSendIncrementalUpdates>true</MVPSendIncrementalUpdates>
      </MAC-0006DC...>

Other changes,

- direct http audio streaming support
- When there is only on audio stream in video, the Audio key on the remote will toggle Left, Right, Stereo. The default is always Stereo.
- disabled navigation in LiveTV since this will likely cause an NMT hangup. Hopefully one way sub will support navigation in LiveTV.

Two questions:
Does that mean I need to remove --display 800x600 from my startmeup file or it can stay & just not cause any problem?

Where is the direct download located?

As information for anyone with a TV with lots of overscan this is my config setting for my pal 33" TV obviously the MAC address needs changed from my A100's address to your MAC address for it to work.

Code:
<MAC-0006DC41F359>
        <MVPClientType>PCH2</MVPClientType>
        <MVPWidth>696</MVPWidth>
        <MVPHeight>528</MVPHeight>
        <MVPOffsetX>52</MVPOffsetX>
        <MVPOffsetY>36</MVPOffsetY>
        <MVPSendIncrementalUpdates>true</MVPSendIncrementalUpdates>
      </MAC-0006DC41F359>

You don't have to that is now the default. However if you ever get an HD TV you would want to remove that.

mvpmc.org, there are several references already, and I didn't want to add another one.

Cool it's Christmas again; new versions of everything Smile

Thanks for the new version.

BTW, "disabled navigation in LiveTV ", means skipping back/forward is disabled, not the ability to change channels? [the only stupid question is the one not asked]

Yes, channel changing by number, using the mini or full OSD guides, using the arrow and the previous channel key still work. It is just the skip keys that have been disabled.

Martin, does this version support volume control using page up/down on the PCH remote if we specify it in the file whos name I can't remember cos I'm at work.

I ask because I think when you released the NPVR installer you killed off this capability but a couple of us couldn't live without it so you put it back in but I cant remember if you only re-implemented it in a special build or if it went back into all future releases?

Yes, volume is available. Originally it didn't work in NPVR because sub took out server side control of volume but mvpmcx2 handles it directly now. To swap the keys follow these steps http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...ey-Mapping

Thanks, I already have the ini file setup from NPVR v1.x so the transition to v2 of Npvr should be smooth, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the time and effort you put in to PCH support....I know this sub-forum is quiet at times but thats not because no one interested more that 99% of the time it just works the way everyone wants.
I know that when I was new to gbpvr and I punted on an MVP on ebay just to see what extenders were about I was blown away by the possibilities it showed....keep it up

+1. I upgraded earlier today, a totally painless exercise using nmtinstall2. The sound stuttering has now disapeared, HD streams without any issue...

The only minor, not really worth mentioning, issue is that Live Tv TS buffer files are not being purged anymore.

Thanks guys. Sub probably wishes after six months I'd stop mentioning the issue of the leftover livetv files too, for me some are always be left behind , but overall I too am very pleased at the stability of my NMT with NextPVR. It's quiet here true., but it let's read with some satisfaction all the posts from users struggling to get good PC playback knowing this is not major concern for NMT users.
