Hi,

I have a Leadtek Winfast PVR2000 tuner and I have trouble getting sound on some TV channels...

With TuningAssistant I have obtained and updated the source channel for each channel, the behavior is that some channels got sound some not, and in some cases after switching some programs I have no sound for all channels...

Some more details:
I live in Romania a country that is not listed in Direct Recording Configuration dialog, so I have choose Italy that appears to have somewhat similar channels, I think that this may be the problem for sound issue, is there a way to setup for Romania ?

also my channels switch slow, about 1-2 seconds, and sometimes the image is moving slowly for about 5 seconds, similar when the computer struggle to play a movie, but I think that this is not the case, I have check the task manager and the cpu load is below 70-80%, is this normal ? i mean the slowly channel change

My pc setup:
athlon xp 2800+
nforce 2, 512mb, ati radeon 9800 pro, audigy2 zs
Leadtek Winfast PVR2000
winxp+sp2
latest drivers for mb/vid/sound/tvtuner
GB-PVR v0.90.10

With native Winfast PVR application my tuner work flawlessly I have no issue with that, and is very fast in switching channels and the cpu load is 10-20% in timeshift mode...

Please help, I am trying this for about a week and I have no ideas left

I dont have access to one of these cards, so I know very little about them, and have never tested anything on one.

These cards arnt compatible with live preview mode, which does give a very fast channel switch, so you'll probably just have to put up with 2 seconds for channel switch in timeshift mode. You could try increasing the LiveTV pre-play delay, which might help the "moving slowly" problem you describe.

I dont know why you're not getting audio - sorry.

BTW, I've added Romania to the list of countries for the next release. I dont know if that will help you though.

Hello sub!
I am glad to tell you (and others) that my PVR2000 is working perfectly with live preview mode switched on and channel switch is under half second!

I also had some problems with audio but after clean install and some fiddling with setting it's OK now and I am very happy with your program, thanks a lot  [Image: smile.gif]

Sorry I can't be more useful to you - I have all the same except for cyberlink mpeg2 drivers that come with soft. DVD player.

No special settings either, i tried different and after one reboot everything just start working. Only one thing left that is cousing me some trouble: after each reboot my first liveTV or recording is muted [Image: sad.gif] until I change channel once. That change seems to 'kick' someting and after that it's fine. [Image: tounge.gif] I can freely hibernate and resume without any more audio problem until first full reboot... [Image: mad.gif]

seems that a clean WinXP install is the last option left [Image: rock.gif]
i will try that when the next version of the GB-PVR comes out, witch hopefully will resolve the sound problem...

also fm radio doesn't work for me, il locks the app and i need to end-task to close (yes, i have lame mp3 encoder)

meantime i am building a IR receiver (WinLIRC) for my remote because i haven't found any Girder plugin or something else that will work with original winfast pvr2000 IR receiver [Image: mad.gif]

Live Preview mode uses a Hauppauge filter, so I doubt this mode will ever work on the PVR2000 unless you also happen to have a Hauppauge card in the same machine.

Well, on my Asus Pundit-R it works !?
I don't have anything extra in machine, just PVR2000.
