Hauppauge 34 button remote in NPVR

I have an old 34 button Hauppauge remote.
It works ok with some of the buttons but nothing i the menu, only in live tv

I have tried to add an [nPVR] section to irremote.ini but nothing changed.
Is there someone who has this remote and got this to work more than a few buttons in live tv?

Out of interest, here's what I have done for now as I haven't looked at the INI yet (brace yourself.........)

I have the Hauppauge 43 button remote (or whatever it is) and find that only a few buttons on it work with NPVR, i.e the PAUSE button. IR input is via the Hauppauge IR interface.
I also have a cheap MCE remote via a USB IR interface, only some of the buttons work on this, i.e. the cursor (arrow) keys.
I also have the remote for the TV itself. Use this for volume and general TV control.

So, I bought a cheap learning remote, a VIVANCO UR810 and have learned some of the commands from all three remotes so that my whole NPVR experience is via one remote control only...........slight downside is that you still need to leave all the IR interfaces connected.

If there's anything I hate and it's having millions of remotes.

NB. My PC case also has an IR interface built it, but there's a bug in the driver which renders it uselss....for now. Hopefully if they fix it then I'll be dropping the other two IR interfaces for just the built in one.

My 43-button remote works, all buttons, and I have been able to remap a button to f7.

The working copy of irremote.ini defaults to the the c:\WINDOWS subdir, at least in win xp. Which one did you edit?

Restart ir.exe.
