xrecord ME style skins?

Hi all,

Short version: Does anyone have a reasonable looking skin for xrecord which fits in with the GBPVR Media Experience skin or similar?

Long version:

Recently I upgraded (and I do mean upgraded) to revens GBPVR Media Experience and love the look (alongside the fantastic My series of plugins). (As a sidenote reven on my MVP's the skin is a bit light, I may have to rejig some font colours)

In fact I liked it so much I dropped xrecord and returned to the basic recording built in plugin so I could get a decent skin running (yes I had a quick go at skinning xrecord but quick realised I would have to spend hours to get it right)

As it turns out I can't live without the simplicity and options that xrecord has, jorm I think its great.

However with something like the blue skin and style it doesnt really fit in and brings my proud display of what is possibly one of the nicest media center experiences in existance down a peg or two.

Does anyone have a skin that makes xrecord fit in more with the GBPVRME skin (and my plugins), Does reven have plans to create a 'My Recordings' plugin, Does jorm have any plans to improve the skinning in xrecord or offer source code so we can have a play (just a suggestion), Will Ms Piggy marry Kermit...... ok ok it was the long version

Thanks to everyone (sub, reven, jorm, others), especially those who have the spare time the rest of us don't have to make such truely amazing systems.

no im never (well mostly like never, 99% chance) going to make a recordings plugin.

ill skin xrecord when jorm takes all the config stuff out of the skin.xml file and puts it into the config.xml file (add editing is done via a windows form), until then ive decided not to skin it, i dont think people should have to edit the skin file to edit the plugins settings, makes things confusing and every time youchange skins you'll have to rechange the settings. i know jorm is busy, but it needs to be done.

reven, I absolutely agree. I am planning on pushing those out very soon. Maybe today... Skinning that is on my todo list but so is a lot of other things.

So did I hear you say that you would skin xrecord.

All I had to do was remove the config stuff out of the skin.... That seems like a good deal to me. The next version of xrecord will have a config settings. It will contain 3 check boxes one for advanced, confirmbox, vbr mode.

And you can specify up to 4 video paths. The only thing not in there is converters.

If you have the free time and want to add the skinning let me know and I will send you the latest and hold off on updating it till you finish. Tipstir would be so happy.

hehe. Reven has not agreed yet...

I will do it eventually I have about 1 month left till my kid is born. Then I will have a little less free time. So am trying to deal with my todo list before hand.

This is actually my second.  My first is almost 2.  I do most of my development at work or when my kid goes to sleep but recently I have been finding myself passing out only a few minutes after him.  

Sometimes before him.

So until I find a new job I will have time.  I work for one of those downward spiral companies. No worries. If I can convince my wife I can be a stay at home dad. Then we will get lots of updates. hehe

yeah jorm ill skin it for Media Experience, assuming i can skin it to look similar to "recordings", i only briefly looked at the skin.xml, and saw the config stuff and thought, ah bugger it ill wait.  but assuming i can skin it to look like recordings, you got yourself a deal

man i feel young, everyone talking about their kids. now im curious to find out how old everyone is?

The application itself is missing a lot of skinnable configurations.   Maybe I can get you to help me skin at least 1 popup screen so I can duplicate it everywhere.

As for ages I am 28.
