Hello, I'm back ( see http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...ed-working ).

I'm just getting around to rebuilding my server, windows 7 ultimate, 32 bit. I've installed NPVR 1.5.36 with all the patches I can find (including http://forums.gbpvr.com/attachment.php?a...1296521929 ), and the MVP only "fix" that I found in one of the posts (can't find it at the moment, wasn't generally release as it may have caused issues for non MVP users).

The problem is that although my videos and must show up when I run NPVR on the server, when I go to the music or video tabs on the MVP, no videos, music or even the photos show up, they just aren't there. things seem to work, there's just nothing to do. I've tried both the dongle that came in the NPVR package, and the mvpmc (inand tried emulation mode from the MVP menu) dongle, no change in behavior.

I've set the following in config.xml, neither of these made any change either: TranscodeTsForMVP to false, and StartPortControl to 5916.

Nothing seems to matter, it's just like I didn't have any source directories defined, but they all work on the NPVR main screen.

I must be missing something very basic here.

Thanks,
Kelly

Yes, you forgot to include your logs.

DOH! The one thing I told myself not to do, as I was flipping between windows to gather the info for the post.

Because you have 4 MVP Servers that doesn't help. Set it to 1 and duplicate the test.

Here you go. I see some out of range exceptions, but not sure what needs to be changed.
Thanks,

It is odd. Are all you media source libraries in shares?

Yes, they are all on a NAS (which I'm in the process of replacing with a large, local raid array). So, I copied one video to a new directory c:\video and added that as a folder. Then I tried the MVP again, still nothing, not even the folder shows up. Logs attached.

Could you upload your config.xml, something in it is confusing the MVP logic which I haven't seen before.

Here you go. IIRC I only changed the two lines that I mentioned before (TranscodeTsForMVP to false, and StartPortControl to 5916), it's possible that I botched it, but the symptoms didn't change after I made those edits (i.e. the problems were there with a clean install, no plugins, hadn't edited config.xml, etc.).

Thanks,
Kelly

Try after adding this to the <MVPSpecificSettings> section

Code:
<MAC-000DFE0031EE>
        <MVPClientType>MVP</MVPClientType>
        <MVPWidth>576</MVPWidth>
        <MVPHeight>440</MVPHeight>
        <MVPOffsetX>32</MVPOffsetX>
        <MVPOffsetY>20</MVPOffsetY>
      </MAC-000DFE0031EE>
