Operation of PLAY on remote control

If I press PLAY while at the top level menus it appears to start playing random tracks from my music library. While this is reasonable it also seems to do this while watching a video playback or while watching live TV which does not make much sense and I was wondering if this was deliberate and if so what the rationale for this was.

If, as is always possible, I have something mis-configured please let me know.

Hmm, it should only start playing music if you're in the music library. Does it do it for you on on main menu? If so, does it also show the track name at the bottom of the screen?

And now after a reboot it seems to be back doing what I expect, it is likely to have been "something else" doing this but I can't imagine what. I have disabled media player and Media centre (It's a windows 7 system) so I'm not sure what else could have been doing it.

Anyway sorry for the noise.

No worries. I also suspect it was something else outside of NextPVR.
