Guide 1/ipad scheduling question. Failed recordings how to rectify?

I love newa. So easy to see whats coming on via the treeview, but have a problem. Ipad will not work for css type so have to use regular guide. When i select say 10 new recordings to schedule on a channel, a couple fail, either because they might already be scheduled or there is another recording already scheduled. So i get a pulldown list that shows the recordings and i can select them, but cant figure out what to do next. If i try to schedule at a different time via selecting it in the tree, it erros out. If i click on the failed selection, i cant see what is interefering to rectify to decide whether i want to force that to record or whatever. Please help me see what i am missing, i am sure there is something i can do, i just cannot find it.

Also, i am using schedules direct and the latest newa update.but am new to npvr. Is there anything i have to configure or is it already done assuming i am using the latest version of npvr and newa.

The list of failed recordings is just to make you aware of which ones failed without having to scroll down through the list of events on the page....there is no other functionality other than awareness of what failed.

NEWA takes your selected events and passes them into the NPVR api which then provides NEWA with a true or false as to whether or not it scheduled ok. I also run a second check through all found recordings to ensure the events that were submitted are returned in the list of found recordings. If the API indicates that the requested event failed or it is not found in the scheduled recordings I add the event to the list for viewing.

Given that there is nothing to tell NEWA why the requested event failed there is nothing else NEWA can provide. I recommend going to the Guide and look at what is scheduled around the time of each failed recording.....in most cases it is simply trying to schedule something that tries to over-allocates tuners (meaning you have more requests for recordings that tuner capability will allow).

Nope....your done.....NPVR takes care of all the heavy lifting in regards to grabbing the guide info from Schedules Direct and loading everything into NPVR.
