Hi.
Just installed NPVR. (I also have GBPVR on my computer and have not deleted or uninstalled it yet. But I have closed its service before installing NPVR).

Now, I downloaded and installed latest WinTV 7 installer from Hauppauge site and have only updated my drivers from it (not installed the complete WinTV app).

However, I can only see 3 tv cards under Devices whereas I have 04 cards in my computer and they were detected OK by GBPVR.

Moreover, where is the logs folder in NPVR like we had in GBPVR? I want to post logs for your review.

Regards.

What devices exactly? Your 4th card probably needs an entry added to AnalogDevices.xml

Log directories:
Windows Vista & Windows 7: C:\users\public\npvr\logs
Windows XP: C:\documents and settings\all users\application data\npvr\logs

The 3 devices listed under Devices tab are "Hauppauge WinTV PVR PCI II Capture, Capture (#2), Capture (#3); Present = No, Enabled = Yes.

My cards are PVR 150 analogue cards.

Pls guide as to how to add my 4th card to AnalogDevices.xml (where is this file?)

Want to post logs for your review but my path 'C:\documents and settings\all users' does not contain any folder titled "application data" (\npvr\logs).
(Win XP SP3)

Regards.

Also, Live TV says 'Unable to communicate with recording device".

If all 4 cards are the same, then something else is going on - you shouldn't need anything else added to AnalogDevices.xml. However logs will tell the tale. You may also want to run a FilterCheck - see the Analog Devices section of the 2nd post of the thread linked in my signature.

That directory is hidden on XP. Either set your folder options to show hidden files and directories, type it by hand, or go in from the command prompt.

Can you view the Settings->Devices screen, then post the npvr.log?

Thanks Sub.

I opened NPVR and went to Settings > Devices screen. (The screen shows 3 cards installed).

After that, I am now posting the log folder as zip file.

Please advise further.

According to the logs you dont have the softpvr components installed.
