May be I am mistaken but I thought that Blu-Rays could now be played through the DVD link on the main menu (From a post s couple of months ago) - I have anydvd HD cyberlink decoder and LAV splitter and audio.

When I have a blu-ray in the drive al I get is a "no DVD found in F drive" message when I click on dvd - is there something else I need to do or has this not been implemented yet?

Liking what I see so far with the new version Sub - specialy Green Button feature & PIP

Thanks

This is still working for me with 2.5.5. Is it possible that AnyDVD HD has not finished scanning the disc before you select it in the menu?

All I can give you is the old "it's working for me" routine.

I'm using AnyDVD HD, LAV, and the Arcsoft decoder. But it sounds like you might not be reaching that stage. Are you sure the disc is being seen correctly and that NPVR is looking at the right drive?

And if haven't got it enabled, turn on the option in AnyDVD to use their online lookup database to help with decrypting. It can speed things up *massively*.

Just had a brain wave and got it working Big Grin

Changed the dvd drive allocation from F: to auto in dvd settings and all is sweet - specify a drive letter and it breaks.

Thanks Whurlston for the vobsub plugin looks like it could be useful.

All we need now is a simple menu structure - choose playlist, listed by length, sometimes the longest is the one with the directors talk over etc.
Use of the evr custom presenter from mpc-hc would be good - and 3D Big Grin may be not this week Big Grin

Not this week. Big Grin

This week, all you will get is the ability to switch audio/subtitle streams. I'm working on being able to use Speed Menus but it's going to take a while. 3D is going to require help from sub. What would MPC-HC's EVR Custom Presenter do? AFAIK, it's not really any different than what sub is already doing (EVR + overlays).

Custom presenter always seems a bit sharper than bog standard evr possibly because of selecting bicubic resizing but more likely the 10bit rgb and full floating point settings I use (used to use now that I have playback of Blu-rays in NPVR)

I should think if NPVR started playback of 3D there would be a cue around the block to download Big Grin - don't think anybody has done it apart from the commercial boys.

I will try again with the vobsub plugin tomorrow SWMBO is back from work in an hour - why did I say I would clean the house

I think I may have figured out a way to solve all the issues with that. I think I can load the filter without it being registered. That way, it will ONLY load for specified file formats.

Sorry, can't help you on that one. Big Grin
