Prevent monitor standby during music playback

Hi,

is there a way to prevent the monitor turning off during music playback? It seems that my lcd tv stops passing through the hdmi audio signal to the avr when the screen enters standby.

There isnt currently, but I can easily add some optional functionality to do this.

Approximately how long is taking before you monitor turns off? ie, would I be safe to force it to stay awake the beginning of each song, or would it need to be more often than that?

Well,

I'd suggest to set the appropriate thread execution state during music playback, but make this setting optional via config.xml.

This patch should do the job for you. You'll need to add the following to the <General> section of config.xml:

<KeepMonitorAwakeDuringMusic>true</KeepMonitorAwakeDuringMusic>
