Nvr set up problem

I have set up the NVR but unable to record. Whenever I click on live tv or recordings it pops up a massage saying buffer directory is not properly set so I went to setting and clicked on misc and set it to a folder and when i click live tv it tells me unable to find capture device therefore i am unable to record. Please help. I went through the npvr guide of how to set up but it was too complicted for me to solve the problem. please Help.

try reading post #2 in the getting started sticky linked in my signature.

if that doesn't help you get going, post what kind of tv tuner you have and what kind of tv you want to tune (i.e. digital antenna, digital cable, analog cable, set top box, some combination?) and we'll try to get you set up. you do have to be willing to learn a bit for yourself along the way though.
