Sound but no picture in Live TV/playback.

Title says it all. I just get a black screen.

Recordings are OK, visible in VLC but alas not with NextPVR.

This is a clean install on a new computer. Tried reinstall... No change.
I've have 2.3.6 running on another computer without problems.

Are there any known issues with current Nvidia drivers?

Just found out that I do have picture on one "test channel". Strange...

It's most likely related to the decoders you're using.

If changing decoders doesn't seem to help, can you make available a short recording I can download from somewhere?

File plays in WMP and VLC.
I've tested some media files in NextPVR, and all played OK (incl hires MKV's), EXCEPT .ts files.

It must just be the decoders you're using. It played fine for me in NextPVR. Admittedly, the ArcSoft video decoder I first tried didn't like the encoding, and gave a lot of garbage on the screen. I switch to the Microsoft DTV DVD decoder and it played fine.

I've reset all video decoders to "Microsoft DTV-DVD Decoder".
Now I am able to playback .TS files.

But still no live picture.

I've tried making a backup of the live buffer file (while in live TV), and the backup .TS file plays OK (?!?)
This is a really strange problem.

Upgraded with R1 patch (again), and viewed Live TV for 2 minutes.

I think it may be a case of the stream type being reported incorrectly.

If you got to settings -> devices, double click your device, then double click a channel, what does it report the service type as? If you change it to h.264 then try watching the channel, does it help?

Make sure 'Use Alternate OSD with missing video" in the Misc2 tab of settings is not checked. That caused this type of problem for me.
