Hi,

Having a fresh installation of Windows 7 x64 I wanted to ditch SageTV and use NextPVR. Installed the new version 2.5.9 I cannot do any channel scan, I get this:
Code:
"Unable to start device: Device failed to start"

Trying to scan "19.2 ASTRA (deutsch) (19.2E)
I have two identical TT-connect S-2400 USB devices and I know that they worked in a former version before while testing parallel to SageTV.
I did a test with MCE and it worked, so TV tuners should work.

Attached the logs.
Any idea?

Best regards,
Oliver

Edit: Same problem with fresh 2.5.5 R1 installation.
Edit2: MCE and TT-Viewer do work and show current tv shows.

I am having exactly the same problem, except my 2.5.5 worked most of the time, just occaisional device not available messages. Just upgraded to 2.5.9 and now no devices are available. Log attached, but the message appears to be the same as OP with :-

You guys will probably need to run filtercheck.exe, and post the filtercheck.log files.

Here's my FilterCheck.log. Not sure if that will help. Did not even know that a filter is needed for something like a channel scan. I installed SAF if that's important.

Actually. my DVB-T cards will scan and play. It's only the PCTV DVB-T2 and DVB-S2 cards that wont.

Sorry, can you use this updated filtercheck.exe, and repost the log?

I dont have any tuners with drivers that behave this way. Do you mind running a few patches for me to collect more info, so I can make the correct fix (rather than just putting in a hard coded rule to make it work)? Hopefully that'll help some people with other tuners too.
