I wasn't going to post my faked merge, but I can if you think it is going to much longer. It's nice running something that says "beta" rather than alpha, it feels closer.
Sub typically doesn't respond with a "no", so I took his lack of reply to be that he doesn't support it. Personally I am testing both alpha/beta XBMC and the experimental NextPVR PVR client so I like to be on the latest version but I don't want to upset sub's test process by introducing another variety into the mix.
It's been quite a few days without it being merged now - is there any way to get someone to build a copy of the new version so that I can use one of the newer builds?
I cant give you one. My environment is older the beta, and I pretty much have to stay there until they complete the merge (in case they ask for further changes to the current pull request).
Fair enough, sorry for asking - I know what release schedules and code integrity is like (should have thought, really!)
I think it's bad enough working with a team of 6 or 7 developers and getting code to build correctly, let alone the volume and disparity of both the NextPVR and XBMC teams!
