It says that Generic Conexant Blackbird cards are supported. Can anyone tell me what some of them might be. Here's what I am hoping for. I would like to buy a cheap, decent card that will work for now just so I can try this out adn see if I like it. If I do then I guess later I can buy a PVR-350.

I read on here that the MSI TV@nywhere master isn't supported but it has a Conexant CX23883 chipset. Is the CX23883 a Blackbird? The card says it has MPEG1, 2 & 4. If by that they mean hardware encoding then that would be good.

The MSI TV@nywhere master is only $57.

Thanks for any help?

No that card doesnt work with GB-PVR.

A Hauppauge PVR150 is only a few dollars more expense.

First of all, thanks again for the fantastic utility.

I actually have a question along the same lines as the original post. [Image: smile.gif]

What 'Generic' cards will function with GB-PVR? A bit of web searching didn't really seem to clarify this.

Even a bit of more specific information about what cards outside of Hauppauge cards would be enormously helpful.

Thanks,

I've updated the front page to accurately reflect the list of supported cards. I'm dropping support for all non-Hauppauge conexant cards. I have no interest in 'generic' cards.

I've decided I'd rather focus on a smaller set of devices.

Fair enough! [Image: smile.gif]

Thanks for the clarification.
