Addon question

Is there any plans to get archiving functionality from within the addon and the possibility to choose where to store recordings?

The addons cant add this type of functionality. This is stuff that the XBMC guys would need to add to the core XBMC PVR framework, then the addons can add support for it.

While I'm not 100% certain that it has this specific functionality, having never used it, generally the answer to all questions pertaining to NPVR functionality not available in XBMC is to use the X-NEWA plugin: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...ublic-Beta

I already use it but wanted to know about the official XBMC addon if it was possible
