I'd just like to say that I love Live Preview mode as I love quick channel changes. I also love the new Aspect Ratio functionality as I can now enable the Anamorphic Squeeze feature of my TV using the Cyberlink DVD decoders.
That said, I've been experiencing jerky playback sometimes when I change channels and have been since Live Preview was released. The last release wasn't too bad; I'd have to change channels really quickly until it would start stuttering. But this release seems worse; LiveTV is really a crapshoot now and I never know when I'll encounter a channel that stutters (which makes me afraid to even change the channel in the first place) and the only way I could get it to be watchable was to either restart GBPVR, reboot or enable time shifting.
Now I've just discovered that under the Misc tab of the Config utility, if I change Deinterlacing from "None" to "Deinterlace Filter", I get absolutely no stuttering at all. I can change channels quickly like a mad man and get no stuttering. I love it!...
...except for the fact that my display is an interlaced one . The effect becomes really noticable when there are fine lines on the screen; they look like little zigzags. Setting Deinterlacing to "None" fixes things quite nicely, except then I get the stuttering in the picture when I change channels.
So I'm thinking that there's something funky going on with interlacing and Live Preview. I'm not sure if it's a GBPVR thing, but I was hoping someone could suggest something I could tweak to get Interlacing, Live Preview and Channel Changing working properly with GBPVR.
PS: I've tried "Encoder Pass-Through" as an option, but when I start LiveTV I get the "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" error.
